2017 Uraidla and Summertown Country Show - a great family day out!
Adelaide Hills Council and South Australian Community Event of the Year, Australia Day Awards 2017.

Located over 25 minutes from the Adelaide CBD in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, the quiet township of Uraidla is set to be transformed into a hub of excitement when the annual Horticultural and Floricultural Show hits town.

Featuring an action-packed line up of entertainment, family activities, rides, market stalls, exhibits, competitions, delicious food options and some of the best wine from the Adelaide Hills region, there will be something for every member of the family!

Including all the attractions of an old-fashioned country show in such close proximity to the Adelaide CBD allows visitors to experience a taste of country life. With agricultural displays and fresh fruit and veggies available from local farmers, log chopping competitions, and a traditional Devonshire tea, a day at the show will offer visitors huge variety.

Bands and local musicians will provide entertainment throughout the day while more unique events including an old-fashioned Tiersman Challenge will keep punters entertained throughout the day.

Incorporated into the day is the Uraidla Sustainability Fair, an event which showcases sustainable lifestyle options and a wide array of industry experts providing presentations through the day. It will be the perfect opportunity for visitors to educate themselves and pick up ways to incorporate sustainable options into their everyday lives.

If the weather heats up in the city, don't forget: it's always a little cooler in the shade of the beautiful trees of Uraidla!

For more information visit the Uraidla and Summertown Show website.

Please note that there will be fireworks on the evening of the Uraidla and Summertown Show - make sure you secure pets and livestock who may be affected by the noise.
