Council schedules free green organic drop off days to assist residents to minimise bushfire fuel loads on their properties in October, November and May of each year.
As an important service to assist residents in reducing bushfire fuel loads, the number of drop offs was increased from six to 12 in October and November 2016. In light of the storm activity that swept across the Hills in December 2016, we also offered free green organics drop off days on January 7 and 8 across all three sites. Following the February dates, the next scheduled green organic drop off day is planned for May 2017. Click here for further information about waste and recycling in the Adelaide Hills.
