Council seeking community reps for Sustainability Advisory Group

Adelaide Hills Council is seeking expressions of interest for two community members to serve on the Sustainability Advisory Group for a two year term commencing on 30 September 2016.

The Sustainability Advisory Group was established in 2009 to support Council in its sustainability agenda, providing specialist advice to Council as well as access to external expertise, networks, and links to other organisations. Now in its third term, the Advisory Group has contributed towards energy efficiency measures for Council, resource recovery initiatives, reduction of waste to landfill, climate change adaptation planning, energy security, and water management.

There are currently two community member volunteer positions available on the Sustainability Advisory Group; no sitting fee is payable to members. It is anticipated that the group will meet six times per year.

A copy of the role description can be downloaded here and interested community members can download an Expression of Interest form here, to be returned to PO Box 44, Woodside SA 5244 or by 5:00pm Monday 29 August 2016.
