These include sporting events, arts- and crafts workshops, dancing classes, life skill courses (cooking, public speaking etc), driver awareness courses, LAN-parties, library lock-ins, live music and much more.
If you have a great idea for any event, activity or program for young people, your suggestions are more than welcome. If you would be interested to help out organising events, even better! In any case, just contact Youth Development Officer Mark de Lange on 8408 0590 or mdelange@ahc.sa.gov.au

National Youth Week
Every year, the Federal, State and Local Governments organise National Youth Week.
NYW is the largest celebration of young people in Australia.
Thousands of young people aged 12-25 all across Australia get involved in NYW each year.
NYW aims to encourage young people to:
- share ideas
- attend live events
- have their voices heard on issues of concern to them
- showcase their talents
- celebrate their contribution to the community
- take part in competitions, and
- have fun!
Dates for the next two years have recently been made available by Office for Youth:
2011: Friday 1 April - Sunday 10 April (during school term)
2012: Friday 13 April - Sunday 22 April (during school holidays)
More information about NYW events will be available closer to the date. Better yet, if you have a great idea for NYW events or for our Youth Advisory Committee and want to be involved, don't hesitate to contact Mark - call 8408 0590, SMS 0439 833 121, or email mdelange@ahc.sa.gov.au!
