Council's Engineering Department is responsible for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Councils assets including:

• Roads,
• Footpaths,
• Bridges,
• Parks and playgrounds,
• Sporting facilities,
• Public buildings,
• Stormwater drainage,
• Community Wastewater Management Schemes (CWMS - previously known as STEDs) in areas with no sewer

Council's Engineering Services also undertakes a number of other activities including waste management and collection, tree and verge trimming within Council road reserve and parks, and traffic management investigations and upgrades.
