There are about 300 parks, playgrounds and reserves in the Adelaide Hills Council which provide both active and passive public open space areas.
Use of these areas by residents and visitors can build a stronger sense of neighbourhood in the local community.
There are a wide range of facilities in these recreation areas, from environmental reserves and public open space to township parks and gardens. Some of these also have facilities such as childrens' play equipment, picnic tables, shelters, public toilets and free push-button electric barbeques.
Large and small recreation spaces cater for more active play and some with a variety of sports facilities.
Dogs are welcome in most areas - please refer to the Dogs and Open Spaces page for more information.
More parks are added over time, so please come back and see what you can enjoy in Adelaide Hills Council.
