Dog Access on Council Reserves

An Advisory Group formed by Council has made recommendations to Council based on feedback from registered stakeholders.  Council is now seeking comments from the whole Adelaide Hills Community on the attached Guiding Principles for Dog Access and examples of how these principles can be applied on a number of reserves.

The Advisory Group has used the Guiding Principles to demonstrate how they could be applied in:

  • A number of previously unassessed reserves
  • The Deanery at Bridgewater
  • Stirling Linear Park

The links below provide access to all of these documents and also a survey to obtain your feedback.  Please take this opportunity to help us resolve dog access on Council Reserves.  Comments should be received by 5.00pm on Monday 24th September 2012.

If you have any questions please email mail@ahc.sa.gov.au or telephone Julie-Anne on 8408 0457.

Using these examples the following changes would occur:

  • 3 areas that were previously on leash would be off leash.
  • 6 areas that were previously off leash would be on leash
  • 33 areas were previously off leash would be amended due to land use on that area.
