New Payment Gateway coming in July 2013

Adelaide Hills Council is proud to announce that from October 2013 a brand new online payment gateway will be available on our re-launched Website. Between July and October 2013 a temporary payment gateway will be available from this page.

In order to facilitate this change, there will be no online payment services between June 11th and the 8th of July 2013. However B-Pay, telephone and in-person payment options will remain active throughout this period.

  • PAYMENTS: When you receive a Rates Notice, a Dog Renewal or an Infringement Notice (also known as an Expiation Notice), you can pay these online and as many of them as you want with one credit card transaction.
Council accepts Visa Card or Master Card.

Direct Debit for Rates Payments

Council accepts rates payments by Direct Debit. Please read more information and to download the required forms here

Primary Production Rate Rebate

On application, a Primary Production Rate Rebate of 10% on the differential rate in the dollar applies to those properties that are genuinely in the business of Primary Production.

If you think you are eligible for the Primary Production Rate Rebate, please download the application form here
Please note:
Any agreement will remain in force from 1 July 2008 until 30 June 2013. Applications received after June 30th will be processed for the next financial year. The agreement will be automatically cancelled, for a particular parcel of land, when sold.
Any rebate will be remitted by 30 June 2012.

Rate Capping Application

Council has resolved to cap the increase in the rates paid on a principal place of residence to no more than 15%, subject to meeting other conditions.
Are you eligible?
Rate capping was introduced in 2005/2006 and has been successful in eliminating large rate movements resulting from uneven increases in property values. A rate cap is applied to a principal place of residence to restrict any annual increase in rates to no more than 15%. (NB. Rate capping does not apply to the NRM levy or the CWMS service charge).

Once the application has been assessed, you will be advised of the outcome in writing. Where a ratepayer has applied for a rebate of rates, any amount due cannot be deferred pending the outcome of the application. Amounts due must be paid as invoiced or statutory fines and interest will apply. If a rebate is granted after the payment of the first instalment account, the subsequent instalments will be adjusted accordingly.

An application form for rate capping is provided here. If you require any assistance in completing this application, call our Customer Contact Centre on 8408 0400.
