Business (including primary production activities) is an important part of the Adelaide Hills community. Supporting sustainable long-term economic growth encourages greater economic diversity, local job opportunities and is a key element to enhancing our community's quality of life. To help us achieve this goal our Economic Development Plan 2020 to 2024 (EDP) was released in March 2021. The key objectives and priorities from the EDP include:

Our Industries| Supporting the growth of our region's existing and emerging industries by building on our existing strengths.

Our Infrastructure| Working with industry to ensure our region's infrastructure including transport, communications, energy and water provide the means for business to grow and innovate.

Our People| Supporting our region's workers and business owners to have the skills and assistance needed to be productive in a changing workforce environment.

Our Identity| Working with key stakeholders in the region to create a stronger sense of place for the Adelaide Hills in order to promote our economic advantages.
