Youth Advisory Committee volunteers putting together 'de-stress' packs for the Year 12 Support Program. 2017.

The Adelaide Hills Council works closely with the community to provide a range of services and programs for the youth of Adelaide Hills. A significant part of this work comes through the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC): a team of youths working to improve life in the Hills for their peers. YAC is the young people's voice to Council; they advise on youth issues, and on how Council decisions may impact on the younger demographic. YAC also works on the Council's youth development program and events, and supports independent community initiatives for young people.

YAC membership is open to any young person between the ages of 12 and 25 who wants to make a difference for young people in the Hills, and who lives, works, plays or attends school in the Adelaide Hills Council region. You can find out more on Facebook.
