The Summit Community Centre

Situated in picturesque Norton Summit, The Summit Community Centre is an active and lively hub boasting a team of dedicated and friendly staff and volunteers. In the warmer months our balcony offers amazing views of the hills, city out to the ocean and in the cooler months stay warm in our centre while watching a real hills winter outside.
Torrens Valley Community Centre

Located in the heart of Gumeracha, the Torrens Valley Community Centre is an active and lively hub boasting a team of dedicated and friendly staff and volunteers.
Both centres offers a range of programs and services with opportunities to learn new skills, volunteer and share skills, access information services, join groups or just have a chat and meet new friends.
The Hut Community Centre

The Hut Community Centre has been serving the Adelaide Hills community in South Australia since it was formed in 1979. The Hut works in collaboration with the Adelaide Hills Council, individuals and groups in the community to identify needs and provide activities and services for local residents. Hut services are provided with the help of a dedicated and enthusiastic group of volunteers. For further information about programs and services offered by The Hut, please visit The Hut website.
PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
Courses including exercise classes, lifestyle workshops, training courses, computing to craft groups and more are held in the centres and outreach locations throughout the Adelaide Hills Council area.
Though it is often referred to as a 'Men's Shed', other activities are regularly offered, such as women's maintenance courses, school holiday activities and gardening workshops.
Enthusiast gardeners are welcome to potter around in our garden or join our Gardening Club. Talks are also held throughout the year about plants, composting, mulch, fertilisers, plant propagating, pruning and fruit trees.
Supported by dedicated volunteers and available to Adelaide Hills Council residents who have difficulty accessing transport, the Community Bus offers transport to Mt Barker and Tea Tree Plaza for shopping. The bus is fitted with a wheelchair hoist. An assessment may be required to determine eligibility to use this service.
The centre has a fully equipped kitchen with cutlery, crockery and glassware available. The community room is equipped with a data screen projector, DVD, sound system, fold-up tables and stackable chairs. This room can cater for a diverse range of events including professional presentations, yoga classes, craft groups, art classes, family functions and training courses.
Two exhibition spaces are available within the Civic Centre.
Justice of the Peace services are available at some Council Service Centres. No appointment is required. Session times are listed here, or contact the Centre for further details.
