This year is Stirling Market's 30th anniversary and it remains one of the most popular destinations with upwards of 4,000 visitors at each market. The Stirling Market Committee attributes its success to the support of locals and the 'make it, bake it, grow it, sew it' philosophy on which the market is founded.
All committee members are volunteers, which means that net funds from the stallholder fees is returned to the community via a grants program. Recipients of these funds over the past 30 years have included local schools and sporting clubs, the Adelaide Hills Sculpture Trail, and the Stirling RSL. In 2019 over $30,000 will be donated to worthwhile community projects, with a donation of $11,500 to the CFS units in the Adelaide Hills area.
Anyone who has visited will agree that market day in Stirling is always vibrant, and its location on the oak-lined Druid Avenue makes it beautiful for all seasons.
The Stirling Market is held on the fourth Sunday of the month; click here for more information.
