Join community conversations about suicide prevention

Join us for a conversation about community-driven suicide prevention and the establishment of a Suicide Prevention Network in the Adelaide Hills Council area. Proudly supported by the Adelaide Hills Council and the Government of South Australia.

The upcoming community conversations are the first step towards creating a Suicide Prevention Network (SPN) in the Adelaide Hills Council area.

The free conversations (and the new SPN) will be open to any community members with an interest in community-driven suicide prevention. Some people may be interested in joining who have been bereaved by suicide or have had an experience of suicide attempt themselves. The SPN will be born out of a shared desire to ensure no-one experiences what they have experienced.

SPN members will be supported to take simple actions that tackle stigma associated with mental illness and suicide, raise awareness and start compassionate conversations that enable people to reach out to others in difficult times.

In supporting the establishment of a SPN, we pause to remember and acknowledge the pain and anguish experienced by members of the Adelaide Hills community who have taken their lives, and the pain and anguish for loved ones left behind.
