Community Forum brings accessibility into focus in Aldgate
Last Thursday, community members gathered at the Village Well in Aldgate for a forum dedicated to making the Adelaide Hills more accessible and welcoming for people with disability.
Attendees shared what makes a place feel inclusive, discussed when they feel most connected to their community, and heard from local groups about the work they’re doing across the region. They also learnt about Council’s latest accessibility projects and initiatives, and had the chance to meet Council staff and Elected Members.
It was a warm and engaging evening, made even better with great food and drinks, and we were delighted to connect with so many passionate community members.
Your feedback will help shape our next Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, ensuring the Hills continues to be a place where everyone belongs.
