Community Notice: Army training to take place in Woodside Main Street Saturday 30 August 11am to 3pm

Don’t be alarmed, it’s just Army training in town!

This Saturday, Woodside’s main street will look a little different. You might see Army personnel from the 10th/27th Battalion, Royal South Australia Regiment, patrolling Onkaparinga Valley Road on foot, dressed in combat gear and carrying blank-loaded weapons.

They’re not here to cause a stir—quite the opposite! The soldiers are encouraged to chat with anyone curious about what’s going on, so feel free to say hello.

You may also spot some Australian Army vehicles rumbling through the area.

It’s all part of Exercise Rhino Run, part of a 9 Brigade exercise, helping the Army sharpen their skills in keeping Australia safe. The main training is happening at Murray Bridge, but Woodside gets a little cameo!
