Discover Play Pathway event cancelled due to weather
The 2026 Discover Play Pathway event on Sunday 1 March has been cancelled due to forecast heavy rain for the weekend and a flood and storm warning for the Mount Lofty Ranges issued by Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

Council has regretfully made the decision to cancel the 2026 Discover Play Pathway event on Sunday 1 March.

Discover Play Pathway cancelled due to weather

Council has regretfully made the decision to cancel the 2026 Discover Play Pathway event on Sunday 1 March due to forecast heavy rain for the weekend and a flood and storm warning for the Mount Lofty Ranges issued by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

Discover Play Pathway is a much-loved, annual community event along the Amy Gillett Bikeway. Council hopes to reschedule the event for later in the year.

About the Discover Play Pathway event 

The Discover Play Pathway promotes outdoor activities, cultural understanding, and community engagement while supporting healthy lifestyles. 

The Amy Gillet Bikeway is named in honour of Amy Gillett, a member of the Australian women’s cycling team who tragically died in 2005 while training in Germany, the pathway aims to promote the joy and safety of cycling.
