Lobethal Firepit Sculpture

Lobethal sculpture reflects spirit of reconciliation at Fabrik

A striking new public artwork has been installed at the entrance of Fabrik Arts + Heritage in Lobethal, a stunning firepit sculpture.

Crafted by award-winning local metal artisan James Hamilton of J Hamilton Design in Paracombe, the piece is both a functional firepit and an artistic tribute to reconcilliation, community, connection and place.

In collaboration with Aboriginal artist Paul Herzich from mantirri design, the sculpture features design elements inspired by Shared Country, Adelaide Hills Council’s reconciliation artwork. This collaboration brings together cultural storytelling and contemporary design in a unique and meaningful way.

The Lobethal Reconciliation Firepit is set to become a gathering point for future winter events at Fabrik.

A warm and welcoming place for people to come together, share stories, and connect around the fire.

We invite you to come and see it for yourself. Fabrik Arts + Heritage is located at the Lobethal Woollen Mill, 1 Lobethal Road, Lobethal.
