Planting for the future
On a beautiful spring day, Council teamed up with Woodside Primary School to help restore a small creek beside Woodside Oval.
Students from Years 5–6 planted 200 native trees, shrubs, and sedges to stabilise the creek’s banks and support its recovery.
This creek is very much a work in progress, and we can’t wait to continue this journey with local schools.
A huge thank you to the students, staff, and parents of Woodside Primary for helping Council’s Biodiversity Team care for this fragile local ecosystem. It’s inspiring to see these young eco-warriors taking pride in their environment.
