Young Drivers Awareness Course

This course is all about defensive driving.

You may be on your L's or P's and you probably think you can drive pretty well. But everyone can be a better driver. You can save lives, including your own and your mates, by making better decisions when driving.

The top driving instructors from the Australian Driving Institute will teach you how to plan, look ahead and think ahead, as well as the best way to operate your vehicle.

The course covers defensive driving theory and improves your driving technique with practical exercises. Learn things many instructors don't teach!

Learn about:

  • Braking & steering techniques

  • Safe following distance

  • Understand alcohol, distraction, peer pressure, fatigue

  • Accident avoidance

This course is subsidised to $50 per person by the Adelaide Hills Council, who are supportingLearner or P-plate driverswho live, work, go to school, play sports or volunteer in the Adelaide Hills Council District.

Please note:

  • WHEN BOOKING A TICKET, YOU WILL NEED A COPY OFALL drivers & Supervisors' licenses,front and back, to complete checkout saleof ticket.

  • Participants will need to bring their own vehicle

  • Learners MUST be accompanied by a supervising driver (Please ensure the L's ticket is purchased as it includes your supervisor for our catering purposes.)

  • Encourage probationary drivers to be accompanied, but this is not essential; please book a ticketaccordingly ifyou are bringing a supervisor. This is for catering purposes.

  • Arrive 10- 15 minutes early to ensure you are ready to commence the course at 8.30am

  • 7 day refund only, No refunds 7 days or less unless a waitlist person is actioned. Limited numbers are required to run the course & subsidy has already been applied.
