NAIDOC week celebrates and recognises the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories. Building respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories by celebrating NAIDOC Week is one of the actions in our Innovate RAP.
This year we are part of a regional collaboration with a number of partners, initiated by Aboriginal People Providing Services, which includes a Family Fun Day on Saturday 12 July (details below).
The Stirling Coventry Library will also be hosting displays of artwork, ceramics, artifacts, historical material and NAIDOC week posters.
