Adelaide Hills to host three spectacular stages in the Santos Tour Down Under in January including the exciting grand finale in Stirling

Adelaide Hills Council will host the world’s top cyclists at Santos Tour Down Under 2026 with one start and three finishes

The iconic event will return in force to the Adelaide Hills during January 2026 

Adelaide Hills Council will host three stages in 2026.

  • Sunday 18 January 2026 Health Partners Women’s Stage 2 finish in Paracombe
  • Thursday 22 January 2026 Health Partners Men’s Stage 2 finish in Uraidla
  • Sunday 25 January 2026 efex Men’s Stage 5 start and finish in Stirling

2026 Santos Tour Down Under stages

Health Partners Women’s Stage 2 finish in Paracombe. Sunday 18 January 2026

Tour Down Under Women's Stage 3 Stirling

The women race from Magill to Paracombe on the second day of exciting racing.

This 130km stage has no less than five major ascents. There will be sprints at Lobethal and Kersbrook before a summit finish on the last of three Paracombe climbs.

Tour Down Under Mens Stage 3 Uraidla

This men's stage starts in Norwood before winding through the Adelaide Hills to Uraidla.

Health Partners Stage 2 will race 148 kilometres from inner-city Norwood to Uraidla.

Three huge climbs are on the agenda; Norton Summit, followed by Mt Lofty and the men’s first dual ascent of notorious Corkscrew Road.

There will be two loops through communities including Crafers, Piccadilly, Lobethal and Cudlee Creek.

Adelaide Hills Council will be activating free spectator sites at Tregarthen Reserve Summertown and Uraidla Oval with big screens, music, food and entertainment.

efex Men’s Stage 5 start and finish in Stirling. Sunday 25 January 2026

Tour Down Under Men’s race continues with 20 year old Isaac Del Toro Romero coming into first place at the efex Men’s Stage 2 from Norwood to Lobethal

The grand finale.

Stirling is set to host the final stage start and finish, with 7 loops through Heathfield, Bradbury, Mylor and Aldgate.

At nearly 170 kilometres this is among the longest closing stages in Santos Tour Down Under history.

Adelaide Hills Council will be activating free spectator sites along the race route. 

Mylor Oval - be a part of the action and watch the race on the big screen before they cross the finish line in Stirling. Food, drinks and toilets available. 

Stirling Oval -  the start and finish will be on the road alongside the oval. See the riders pre-race preparations and sign in. Watch the race on the big screen and see the TDU final winners presentation. There will be food and entertainment , family fun activities.

Stirling Markets - Druids Ave will be closed for the popular Stirling Market. With its many and varied stalls the market is renowned for the diversity and quality of the goods and food on offer.

Coventry Stirling Library ‘Chill Out Zone’ - Relax under the shady oaks trees.

Steamroller Park ‘Kids Zone’ - Playground, facepainting and Stirling’s famous Hokey Pokey organic ice cream. 

Bike Station - Store you bike securely at one of our two bike stations available – Druids Avenue or the Stirling Oval and enjoy your day in Stirling

Accessibility

Spectators with a disability and families with very young children are welcome to contact Council to reserve a spot in the Adelaide Hills Council finish line marquee in Stirling, Paracombe or Uraidla – just email us at events@ahc.sa.gov.au
 

In the event of a catastrophic fire danger forecast

The Santos Tour Down Under will be cancelled if a fire danger rating of catastrophic is declared by the CFS on a particular day. Please monitor the Council and Santos Tour Down Under websites for information on the potential race impacts if an extreme fire danger rating is declared at any stage.

Dogs and safety

Please keep dogs on a lead during the Santos Tour Down Under in the hills.

To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, we ask you to keep your dogs on a lead at all times if you are attending the Santos Tour Down Under. 

Recent incidents involving dogs in international races have raised serious concerns for the safety of both the dogs and participants. Let’s work together to keep the event safe and fun for all!
