Council Services on Fire Danger Days

On days where a severe, extreme or catastrophic fire risk has been declared, some Council services may be affected.

Building a circular economy and reducing waste to landfill are priorities for Council as we aim to create a more sustainable community. We offer a various initiatives to educate about waste alternatives and support residents to divert waste from landfill.

Pets and Animals

To ensure that animals kept as pets in the Adelaide Hills are managed in a healthy, safe and considered way, we have prepared guidelines for animal management which any pet owner should be familiar with.

Public Health

Council is responsible for a range of public health and safety issues and initiatives, and work closely with local businesses, government and stakeholders to manage and mitigate public health risks.

Community Transport Assistance

Community transport options are important to ensure that those without or unable to access other forms of transport can remain independent and socially connected.

Cemeteries

Adelaide Hills Council maintains 16 historic cemeteries within the Council area, 13 of which are active. Council can assist with a range of services in relation to its cemeteries including interments rights, burials and plaques.
