The Adelaide Hills Council maintains 16 historic cemeteries in the area. Out of these, 13 are still in use and listed below.

All cemetery services are cancelled when an extreme or catastrophic fire danger day has been declared by the CFS.

Gumeracha Cemetery

Houghton Cemetery

Kersbrook Cemetery

This cemetery has a large traditional burial area, lawned burial area and 'Martungka', a dedicated natural burial ground. Cremated remains can be interred into a columbarium wall or in the gardens.

Montacute Cemetery

The cemetery was established in 1903 when Mr William Woolcock donated the property to Council. It includes ground burials and a columbarium set at the south-eastern end of the roadside fence.
Mt Lofty Cemetery
