Welcome to the Adelaide Hills Council Youth Page — a space made for you.
This is your go-to hub for everything happening for young people in our community.
Here you can share your ideas, get involved in local decisions, and be part of conversations about the future of our area.
Your experiences, opinions, and creativity help shape our community — and we want to hear them.
Check back often, get involved, and help build a future that reflects the needs and ambitions of young people like you.
Meet Ness Wiebford – Your Youth Officer at Adelaide Hills Council
Hey there! I’m Ness, your Youth Officer here at Adelaide Hills Council, and I’d love to hear from YOU.
The dreamers, the doers, the thinkers, the creators, the “I’ve‑got-a-wild-idea-but-not-sure-who-to-tell” people, and the people looking for ways to get engaged in their community and meet other people but not sure how, or where to start.
If you’re 12–25 and living, learning, or hanging out in the Hills, I want to know what you think the future should look like, because you’re the folks with the expertise at being young people in the Hills!
We’re building a brand‑new Youth Action Plan, and we don’t want a plan written for young people—we want one written with you.
Your ideas. Your priorities. Your voice.
Tell me what matters to you—whether it’s events, spaces, wellbeing, creativity, opportunities, community, or something that hasn’t been invented yet!
Big dreams welcome. Weird dreams welcome. Half‑formed thoughts welcome. All of it.
The time commitment for this is three 2-hour workshops over the next six months – and we can come to you!
We want to hear from young people who want to make cool stuff happen in the Hills.
Whether it’s:
- a music event
- a creative project
- a community initiative
- a skills workshop
- or something totally new
…if it benefits young people, let’s chat. Seriously, your idea might be the next thing we help bring to life.
If you like the sound of:
- first dibs on events
- grants and paid opportunities
- chances to shape council projects
- youth meet‑ups and workshops
- fun things happening where you live
…then you’ll want to be on our Youth Contact List. No spam. No boring stuff. Just the good bits.
Dream big. Ask big. Let’s build the future of the Hills—together.
Message me. Email me. Wave at me at an event. Send a carrier pigeon. Whatever works, just reach out. I’m here to help make your ideas real.
