Charleston Flood Preparedness Workshop

The Charleston Emergency Response and Recovery Group (CERRG) aims to be as prepared as possible for any emergency event, be it fire, flood, heatwave, extreme weather, or prolonged power outage.

Reflecting on a massive flood event described in the media of the day as a 'Cloudburst' that occurred over Charleston in December 1948, CERRG thought it would be beneficial to hold a Flood Preparedness Workshop for the community, followed a week later by a flood scenario exercise for their local community, 'Operation Cloudburst'.

We invite you to this information session on what to do in a flood event. The flood preparedness workshop is open to the wider Hills community.

Light refreshments are supplied.
