Impressions of Nature

During our SALA Exhibition 'Adelaide Hills Biodiversity', join ceramist, Simone Linder-Patton for this creative pottery workshop. Participants will be introduced to making and texturing using soft slabs of clay.

Using a variety of natural materials, such as leaves, participants will impress shapes into soft slabs that will then be formed into ceramic wares. A range of items will be made including vases, small dishes and gift tags or hanging decorations.

Simone will later glaze the pieces with glazes that accentuate the textured markings. The pieces will then be fired and ready to collect around four weeks after the workshop date, ready to use at home.

All materials and tools supplied. Not suitable for anyone under 10 years of age.

What to Bring

Small and medium size leaves. Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting messy.
