The Shapes of Letters for Calligraphy and Beyond

The shapes of letters lend themselves to being embellished with simple to quite complex or exuberant decorations. In this workshop you will explore several alphabet shapes and how they can be modified. You will then choose several letters to create your own personalised artworks with simple black and white and lots of colour possibilities.

You will create several initials or even words and go home with a greeting card and bookmark, and lots of ideas for creating your own decorative letters for family friends and your own artworks.

All materials supplied.

The Summit Community Centre, located at 4 Crescent Drive, Norton Summit, is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm (closed on public holidays). If you have any enquiries or need clarification about program times, please reach out during staffed hours. Some programs may run outside these hours, so it's always a good idea to check the specific day and time.
