Planting day for bandicoot habitat

Sunday 4 June at Mark Oliphant Conservation Park.

The community-led Bandicoot Superhighway Project is seeking to reduce the extinction risk of the endangered southern brown bandicoot in the Mount Lofty Ranges.

Join a community planting day to revegetate areas in Mark Oliphant Conservation Park that are critical for bandicoots as well as other threatened species such as the yellow-footed antechinus and bassian thrush.

The event caters for all age groups and fitness levels. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

The Bandicoot Superhighway project is a partnership between the Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu, Sturt Upper Reaches Landcare Group, Department for Environment and Water, Green Adelaide, University of Adelaide, Friends of Parks, Nature Conservation Society of SA and private landholders.

This project is funded by the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife and the Australian Government.
