The Woman Suffers is considered 'Australia's first feminist feature film'. It has three storylines which interconnect, finally resolving in a convoluted saga of seduction and revenge.
With a connection to the Adelaide hills, parts of the film were shot at the Bridgewater Hotel and a church thought to be in the Adelaide Hills.
