This course is all about defensive driving.
You may be on your L's or P's and you probably think you can drive pretty well. But everyone can be a better driver. You can save lives, including your own and your mates, by making better decisions when driving.
The top driving instructors from the Australian Driving Institute will teach you how to plan ahead, look ahead and think ahead, as well as the best way to operate your vehicle.
The course covers defensive driving theory and improves your driving technique with practical exercises. Learn things many instructors don't teach!
Learn about:
- Braking & steering techniques
- Safe following distance
- Understand alcohol, distraction, peer pressure, fatigue
- Accident avoidance
...and much more!
Participants on their Learner's license or P-plates who live, work, go to school, play sports or volunteer in the Adelaide Hills Council District are eligible for a subsidised fee of $50.
Please note:
- Participants will need to bring their own vehicle
- Learners MUST be accompanied by a supervising driver (Please ensure the L's ticket is purchased as it includes your supervisor for our catering purposes.)
- Encourage probationary drivers to be accompanied but not essential, please advise via email if you are, for our catering purposes.
- ALL drivers must provide a photo of their licence front and back by Monday 7th October emailed or SMS'd to Karli Hull: khull@ahc.sa.gov.au or SMS 0456 803 533
