Opportunities Available
The Adelaide Hills Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced members of the public for the Council Assessment Panel (CAP).
The CAP consists of four (4) independent members of the public and one (1) Councillor pursuant to the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016. There is also a deputy independent member and deputy Council member.
Role Overview/Duties
The CAP is an important committee of Council with responsibility for determining planning applications for a wide range of developments in the Council area against the Planning and Design Code. It has a very significant role to play in hearing the submissions of persons who made representation during the public notification process and in giving due consideration to the representations in the assessment of a development.
Independent Members of the Panel will need to demonstrate the required skills, knowledge and experience relevant to hold accreditation as an Accredited Professional – Planning Level 2.
Council seeks to achieve diversity amongst the Panel membership.
The monthly scheduled CAP meetings are held at Stirling on the second Wednesday of every month at 6.30 pm. In person attendance is expected except in exceptional circumstances.
The CAP Terms of Reference, Operating and Meeting Procedure, agendas and minutes are available on the Council website Council Assessment Panel • Adelaide Hills Council
