Team Leader Statutory Planning
This role leads and coaches the Statutory Planning team in the effective delivery of planning assessment services. The Team Leader provides professional guidance and operational leadership to support well-balanced development outcomes for complex assessments and high quality customer service.
The role reports to the Manager Development Services.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning and extensive technical expertise working as a Team Leader or Senior Planner in statutory planning within local government.
- Certification as an Accredited Professional – Planning Level 1.
- A demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act and Regulations and other related legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills to take the Council lead for key development proposals.
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
- Experience in managing Court Appeals
