Join Roshanne, from Alma Flamenca, for a one-hour dance workshop with live Flamenco guitar accompaniment including exciting demonstrations of this vibrant and exciting dance form to inspire you!

This workshop will have you coordinating your body, swinging your hips, stomping your feet, striking powerful poses, clapping your hands with Spanish rhythm, all while grooving to live guitar and percussion. You might even find yourself shouting OLE!

Flamenco is an artform of song, dance and music that is heavily inspired by the gypsy people from Southern Spain, particularly the region of Andalusia. It is passionate and expressive and combines intricate hand, arm and footwork with powerful body language, rhythm, and self-expression.

Wear comfortable clothing, leggings, tracksuit pants, active wear etc. For shoes, if you can wear tap shoes, character shoes, any thick-heeled boots or thick-heeled office shoes that would work best. You can also wear sneakers.

Please bring a bottle of water and a face towel.
