Woodside intersection upgrade. Have your say.
The Adelaide Hills Productivity and Road Safety (PRS) Package is a $150 million infrastructure initiative jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian governments (80:20 funding split) over five years. This package targets strategic road upgrades across the Adelaide Hills region to:
- Support economic activity and freight efficiency
- Improve road user safety
- Enhance emergency and fire resilience across the network
Scope of works in Woodside township
- Junction upgrades of the Tiers Road/ Nairne Road offset T-Intersection with the Onkaparinga Valley Road in Woodside township. This is intended to increase safety for all road users.
- Pedestrian crossing installation on Onkaparinga Valley Road near the Woodside Library, improving access and safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
Heavy vehicle access improvements, including the extension of painted medians for better separation of traffic. - Removal of 13 car parks on main street to provide improved driver sightlines and left hand turn capacity.
