Expression of Interest: Independent Panel Member
The Adelaide Hills Council is committed to maintaining high standards of corporate governance and is currently seeking expressions of interest for an independent member to serve on its Chief Executive Officer Performance Review Panel (the Panel).
The Committee consists of four (4) Council Members and one (1) Independent Member on staggered terms.
Opportunities Available
Adelaide Hills Council is seeking one (1) Independent Member for a term of up to three (3) years commencing October 2025. Independent Members are eligible to re-submit an application for reappointment at the end of each term.
Role Overview
The overall role of the Chief Executive Officer Performance Review Panel is to provide advice to Council on the Chief Executive Officers performance and development, including the setting of key performance indicators, performance reviews and annual remuneration reviews.
Duties Required
Independent Members of the Panel will need to demonstrate recent and relevant skills and experience relevant to the roles and functions of the Panel. Council seeks to achieve diversity amongst the Panel membership.
It is anticipated that the Panel will meet a minimum of five (5) times per year. Sitting fees will be paid to the successful appointees and Independent Members will be required to comply with the relevant provisions of the Local Government Act 1999.
