Council proudly supported another inspiring evening of 'Dog Eared Readings' in the Hills on Thursday, 26 February 2025, in The Summit Community Centre, overlooking the stunning Adelaide skyline.

As the sun set, Eva Hornung treated the audience to stirring excerpts from her newly released novel The Minstrels, while Thom Sullivan shared a thoughtful selection of poetry exploring place and the rhythms of everyday life.

The evening continued with a rich and lively conversation between award‑winning authors Rebekha Clarkson and Pip Williams, who captivated attendees with their insights into the craft and distinctive beauty of the short‑story form.

Dog Eared Reading’s in the Hills was warmly hosted by authors Rachel Meade and Heather Taylor Johnson.

More literary moments are on the way for the Hills community. Winter Words will return this June, July, and August, bringing a season of exceptional events not to be missed.

Be sure to explore the Community Centres and Library programs for even more opportunities to connect with creativity, storytelling, and the arts.
