FOGO gets the go-go in expanded trial

Adelaide Hills Council is expanding its weekly FOGO (Food Organics Garden Organics) trial across the Balhannah, Charleston, Lobethal, Oakbank and Woodside townships.

FOGO gets the go-go in expanded trial

If you are in the trial areas of Balhannah, Charleston, Lobethal, Oakbank, Woodside townships

From Tuesday 4 November 2025, East Waste will begin collecting

  • green-lidded organics bin weekly.
  • blue-lidded waste collections will move to fortnightly.
  • yellow recycling bins will continue to be collected fortnightly. 

Residents affected by this change will be notified by mail.

Beginning in February 2026, Council will evaluate the outcomes and financial implications from the expanded trial. It is expected that this service will continue beyond the trial phase and be rolled out in other township areas.

Balhannah - Monday 13th Oct 2025, 6:00 pm 

Lobethal - Tuesday 14th Oct 2025, 6:00 pm

Woodside - Friday 24th Oct 2025, 10:00 am
