Learning, caring, and growing together at Cox Creek
Adelaide Hills Council recently had the absolute pleasure of welcoming a group of enthusiastic Year 2 Bridgewater Primary School Students to Cox Creek for a special excursion!
Armed with curiosity and loads of energy these young environmental champions explored the creek to learn all about our amazing native wildlife and the importance of healthy waterways. They got hands-on with some macroinvertebrate sampling, discovering the tiny creatures that help us understand how clean and healthy our creek is.
The students also rolled up their sleeves to plant native rushes and sedges, helping to revegetate the creek banks and create better habitat for local species. Their teamwork and care for the environment were truly inspiring!
A huge thank you to the teachers, volunteers, and our dedicated Council Biodiversity Team for making this day possible, and to our young visitors for showing that even small hands can make a big difference.
