Enhancing South Australia's freight efficiency through strategic corridor upgrades

High Productivity Vehicle Network Truck

SA Government High Productivity Vehicle Network

The High Productivity Vehicle Network corridors run from the South Australian–Victorian border to the South Australian–Western Australian border.

It includes major roads like the Eyre, Sturt, Augusta, and Dukes Highways, as well as key routes around Greater Adelaide and to Outer Harbour. This includes links to the Princes Highway and Port Wakefield Road, offering an alternative route for heavy vehicles that avoids the South-Eastern Freeway and Portrush Road. This project is listed on Infrastructure Australia's 2022 Priority List.

The goal is to improve the efficiency of freight transport within South Australia and strengthen connections with other states and territories across Australia.
