Supplementary Election to fill the vacancy for Mayor
A Supplementary Election will be held in February 2026 to fill the vacancy for Mayor of Adelaide Hills Council.
Supplementary elections are held between regular elections when a position becomes vacant. They ensure the community continues to have full representation on Council.
Key dates
- Roll close: 5pm Friday 31 October 2025
- Nominations open: Thursday 20 November 2025
- Nominations close: 12pm Thursday 4 December 2025
- Voting materials mailed: Tuesday 13 January 2026
- Voting closes: 12pm Monday 9 February 2026
Voting in the supplementary election
- All voting is by postal ballot.
- Enrolled voters will get a package in the mail, including ballot papers and a reply-paid envelope.
- Ballot papers will be delivered by Tuesday 13 January 2026.
- Completed papers must be received by 12pm Monday 9 February 2026 to be counted.
