Day of Doing

What is the Day of Doing?

The Day of Doing is an invitation for people across the Adelaide Hills to step outside and do small things together that make their neighbourhood feel more welcoming, creative and alive.

These small acts might seem simple, but together they can shift how communities connect and contribute – from waiting for change to creating change together.

The Day of Doing is about taking the first small step. And the best part? We’re making it easy.

We’re removing the barriers and unleashing the fun with simple, pre-approved ideas to choose from and access to up to $500 to bring it to life thanks to Town Team Movement and Adelaide Hills Council.

How can I take part?

  • Gather some neighbours, a friend or a group and choose an idea.
  • Register by Sunday 19 April and access up to $500 to make it happen.
  • Do the thing! Deliver your idea on the ‘Day of Doing’ Saturday 2 May 2026.
  • Join us from 5pm that afternoon for a ‘Day of Doing’ celebration event.

Come along to the Uraidla Hotel (Hills Hoist Room) from 5.30pm to 7pm on Tuesday 31 March for an informal info session. We’ll share some snacks, facts, ideas and inspiration about the Day of Doing.
